Road Trip To LONAVALA

Image
Lonavala is a budget friendly and picture perfect hill station for an exciting weekend getaway. And this trip won’t make a hole in your pocket. If you like road tripping through the hills and mountains, then this destination should be on top of your list! Just 2 to 3 hours’ drive from Mumbai. Many of us wonder if we can make the Lonavala trip on a scooty. The answer is YES! You can easily go to Lonavala on your Activa/Scooty. Take Old Mumbai-Pune Highway as it is mostly recommended for two wheeler and not that crowded. Do not take the expressway as it is only for 4 wheeler.  Things to keep in mind- Drive safe, especially during rainy season. Don’t overtake. Take a little break in between. We started our journey from Kalyan at 6 in the morning. We took the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway via Khopoli. Riding through such scenic route is an experience in itself. It doesn’t matter for much time you’re driving because you’ll never get bored of the roads. This route is very much re...

Road Trip to BHUTAN

When you go on a road trip, the trip itself becomes a part of your story. Why fly when you can take control of the wheel and explore the world at your own pace? You know what the best part about a road trip is? You have the freedom to explore not just your destination but all the beautiful places in your path. Just stop your bike, take a look around, click pictures and enjoy the moment. This was my first international trip. And sometimes those unplanned trips turn out be one of your favourite. Yes you heard it right! My first international trip was UNPLANNED. This happened when I was in my hometown which is in Guwahati, Assam. Me and my cousin were talking and sharing each other’s travel experiences. And I just casually said that Bhutan is nearby, next time when I visit Assam we both will go to Bhutan. He replied, why next time? We will go there tomorrow. The next morning he was ready with his Royal Enfield and we started our journey. Hitting the open road is a fine...

So many more places to visit. We all have a desire to travel, to explore new places, to go to a new city or town, to explore different street foods and so on. But still many of us are waiting for the right time or held back by something or some thought. People think travelling is expensive. Exploring new places, new cultures, food, etc is expensive.  Well it is not!! I'm starting this blog to share my experience with you all. There are so many ways in which you can travel which won't cost you any fortune. My experience tells me to travel how the locals do. Travel by train, take a local bus ride, avoid expensive restaurants and enjoy the local street food. Turn strangers into friends. Share each others story. Why "brown" boy adventures? In India, more than half of the population ...
