Badlapur is a city in Thane District of Maharashtra state. It is approx. 65 km from the Mumbai main city. Badlapur is known to Mumbaikars as a week-end picnic spot. You can easily reach here by taking a local train or via road. 



Kondeshwar is one of the best place to experience the monsoon. Very scenic place which is situated near a village. One of the most popular tourist attraction during monsoon. The lush green environment is an eye-candy. There's a Lord Shiva temple at the lap of mother nature. 



To reach here you can take a auto rickshaw from badlapur station. I would prefer bringing your personal vehicles with you as it will give to more freedom to explore the place at your pace. Roads are quite uneasy but the view is totally mesmerizing. 

Near the temple, one can visit the Kondeshwar Lake, which is formed by the Bhoj Dam. Out here, tourists are often seen enjoying picnic and swimming in the lake. A dive in Lake water is very refreshing. A peaceful place with good sceneries where a family trip is possible for a single day. Worth a visit.






However, before coming, make sure that Public is allowed to go here. In case of heavy rain, administration usually keeps this place shut for safety reasons.
